How to Book
Surf Travel Destinations
1. Find the trip you want
Use the “Destinations” or “Plan Your Trip” link to find the surf travel destination that interests you.
2. Choose the dates you wish to travel
Once you have scouted a location check to see if the dates you want are available if that destination operates from a set schedule. Alternatively, some trips have a flexible schedule which will require us to check and confirm available dates with you.
3. Make Contact
Fill out a trip inquiry form, send us an e-mail, or give us a call / text message with your requested dates and preferred surf travel destination. You can also book your trip deposit and pay your deposit through our one-of-kind booking calendar. This will show up as a “Book Now” button on the destination page if available.
4. Send us your Basic Information
Now that you have confirmed your desired dates and your expedition is available we need to get some basic information from each person in your group to plan your trip.
– Full Name on Passport
– Passport Number
– Passport Expiration Date
– Passport Country
– Birthdate
– Flight Itinerary and Details
– Travel Insurance Confirmation
5. Confirm Dates and Make Deposit
Once we have received your basic information we require a nominal deposit to secure your booking. You can pay by American Express, VISA, Discover, or Mastercard, you may also send checks to:

6. Book your airline tickets
World Wave Expeditions is equipped to handle all of our guest’s flight details – we will work directly with you to find the appropriate flight and schedule for your trip; otherwise, you are more than welcome to handle those travel details on your own.
7. Make final payment

Rule #1 is to remember to not miss your flight… #2 is to make sure your passport has six months of availability, and #3 is that you travel with at least one blank page left inside your passport.
9. Surf
Once you’re at most of our surf travel destinations almost everything is taken care of – practically the only thing you need to worry about is what board you should ride, if you are wearing sunblock, or drinking enough water.
Hotel and Rental Properties
1. Find the hotel or rental property you want
Use the “Destinations” or “Plan Your Trip” link to find the surf travel destination that interests you.
2. Choose the dates you wish to stay
Once you have discovered a hotel or rental property that best suits your needs decide what your ideal check-in and check-out dates will be.
3. Request to Book
All of our hotel and rental bookings require an approval from the hotel property owners and/or managers before confirmation. We do this to ensure we receive the absolute best rate possible and to take advantage of any specials that may be on offer but not posted.
When you “Request to Book” a hotel or rental property for specific dates we ask a few basic questions to help us determine if you would be a good match for that property. (Trip dates, Contact Information, Age, Number of Travelers, and Comments) We then double – check the requested dates against the available dates and if everything lines up we send a rental invoice and payment terms to secure your expedition. We may offer alternative dates and properties depending on issues with availability.
You are welcome to also send us an e-mail, or give us a call / text message with your requested dates and property if you do not feel comfortable sending an inquiry form online or just want to talk to our staff about the options.
4. Send us your Basic Information
Once we have confirmed your hotel room or property is available on your desired dates we need to get some basic information from each person in your group to plan your trip.
– Full Name on Passport
– Passport Number
– Passport Expiration Date
– Passport Country
– Birthdate
– Flight Itinerary and Details (if applicable)
– Travel Insurance Confirmation (if applicable)
5. Confirm Dates and Make Deposit
All of our hotel rooms homes have a basic $100 deposit (plus $7.90 online booking fee only) to confirm a booking outside of 60 days. All balances are due within 60 days of check-in.
All of our properties have a basic $300 deposit (plus $23.70 online booking fee only) to confirm a booking outside of 60 days. All balances are due within 60 days of check-in.
– All reservations under $1000 must be paid in full at the time of booking.
– Reservations over $1000 but within 60 days of check-in must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reservations over $1000 with partial payments and more than 60 days out must be paid in full 30 days before the start date of the reservation.

6. Book your airline tickets
World Wave Expeditions is equipped to handle all of our guests’s flight details – we will work directly with you to find the appropriate flight and schedule for your trip; otherwise, you are more than welcome to handle those travel details on your own. We can also organize car rentals as needed through one of our travel partners.
7. Make final payment
At the end of the booking process World Wave Expeditions will send you a detailed “Welcome Letter” which will outline the check-in and check-out process as well as provide relevant details about the hotel or property and the area. This will also include the best contact person in charge of managing the hotel or property and keeping guests happy. You are also free to talk to World Wave Expeditions with any requests or questions that come up, that’s what we are here for!
8. Welcome!
Once a reservation is complete World Wave Expeditions will send a confirmation invoice and “Welcome Letter” which outlines the process for checking in and out of the property, details about the property, and local contact information to help ensure your trip goes as smoothly as possible. There is no online check-in or check-out process except at select hotels.
The “Welcome Letter” will specify the hotel or listing’s address, check-in and check-out times, directions on how to check in to the hotel or facilitate the key exchange (or give access codes to a lock box with the key) and provide your hotel’s or host’s contact details so you can reach them directly in case plans change.
9. Surf
Once you are settled into your hotel or rental property you can refer to the information in our “Welcome Letter” and on our Destination page to sort out where to surf and other local activities. Enjoy!

Surf Strikes
1. Find the surf strike you want
Use the “Plan your Trip” or “Surf Strikes” link to access a calendar with our latest surf strike options. World Wave Expeditions features last minute specials and availability that let you see the latest upcoming trips to take advantage of specific surf forecasts and specials all over the world.
2. Choose the dates you wish to travel
Select your trip dates using the “surf strikes” booking calendar. Trips that are still available will display the first day of the trip on the calendar date (as well as the price) and include the number of spaces still available in orange.
3. Click It
Choose the trip on the calendar that interests you and begin the reservation process online. If you are accessing a surf strike via a “News” item you can click the “Book Now” button to access this step.
As part of the booking process you will be prompted to enter your full name, date of birth, passport details (if available) and nearest airport if requiring flight assistance. You will also be asked to make a $200 deposit (plus $15.80 booking fee) to confirm your booking. The full balance of the trip will be due within 72 hours and charged to the same card unless you specify otherwise.
4. Trip Confirmation
Due to the last minute nature of these trips once we have your booking in our system we will re-confirm availability for your trip before handling the remainder of the balance. In the rare instance that your trip was booked simultaneously and that space is no longer available we will refund your deposit in full.
5. Pay the Balance
In most cases we will charge the balance of your trip on the credit card provided. The exact payment terms for surf strikes dictate that all payments need to be made in full within 48 hours of the initial reservation to give us enough time to plan your trip accordingly. All credit card payments are subject to a 1.9% processing fee to help offset our payment costs.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR LAST MINUTE TRIPS
- A non-refundable $200.00 USD (plus $15.80 processing fee) per person deposit is required to secure a space on any last minute trip.
- A non-refundable final balance is due 3 days after the initial deposit to guarantee the reservation.
- Trip deposits/final balances can be made via wire transfer, check, credit card online via our website, or credit card offline.
- All offline credit card final balances are subject to a 1.9% processing charge per person but are not subject to online processing fees.
- All wire transfers are subject to a $10 bank handling charge.
Deposits and final balances made by check require no extra fee. All checks can be made out to “World Wave Expeditions”.
- Travel insurance is required on all surf strike expeditions.
- All last minute trip sales reserved in this category item are final.

Deposit
Deposits can be made offline via credit card, check, or wire transfer. We also operate a secure online reservation system for trip deposits.
- All ”Book Now” online credit card deposits are subject to a 6% processing charge.
- All offline credit card deposits are subject to a 1.9% processing charge.
- All credit card final payments are subject to a 1.9% processing charge.
- All wire transfers for deposits or final balances are subject to a $10 bank handling charge per transaction.
- Deposits or Final Payments made by check require no extra fee. All checks can be made out to World Wave Expeditions.

In some instances during the online booking process a specific trip’s availability will have changed before a live update is possible. If the dates or trip you’ve chosen are no longer available we will do our best to find a suitable replacement date or send you a refund within a 48 hour period.
Terms & Conditions
Overview
World Wave Expeditions and its travel partners do not assume responsibility for those inherent risks which may cause unfortunate accidents or incidents during ordinary travel conditions. World Wave Expeditions will not be held responsible for injury, death, damage, loss, delay, cost, expense, or inconvenience arising from travel misfortunes beyond our control.
Payments
– Deposits are non-refundable.
– Final Payment amount and due date is specified on each destination’s detail page and is non-refundable.
– Payment may be paid by cash, personal check , money order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or bank transfer
– All checks should be made out to “World Wave Expeditions” .
– All credit cards require a 1.9% processing charge for both deposit and the balance.
– All wire transfers require a $25 processing fee due to incoming bank charges.
– Any form of payment constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions stated on this website.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of a trip must be made within 60 days of your departure date. There are no refunds or partial refunds given for early departures from a designated charter or surf experience, poor surf, or inclement weather. In addition, there are no refunds given for reasons pertaining to unstable global, national, or local political situation that does not directly pose a threat to the safe operations of our expeditions.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is mandatory on all of our expeditions for your safety.
Documents
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure and have a blank page.
If applicable, a valid visa is required for travel.
Airline Related Information
1. World Wave Expeditions is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
2. World Wave Expeditions does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of surfboards/surfboard bags or any other luggage.
Health
World Wave Expeditions is not responsible for health problems arising from environmental factors during your stay.
Responsibility
World Wave Expeditions will use all due care for the provision of its services and activities provided to guests. Guests participate in activities and use services at our travel partner’s destinations at their own risk. No liability or responsibility is accepted by World Wave Expeditions for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, expense, or any other claim arising from involvement in any activities or provision of any services howsoever suffered, even in circumstances where staff of World Wave Expeditions or our travel partners may have negligently breached any duty of care that it or they may owe or have owed in connection with such activities, conduct, supervision, or the provision of services. World Wave Expeditions will no longer be liable for direct or indirect losses, arising from any such injury, illness, damage, loss accident, or expense including consequential loss or economic loss however caused.
