In recent years Hudhuranfushi has implemented a surf management plan. In order to enhance the surfing experience and improve service levels to the surfers, the resort will restrict the maximum surfers per day to 45. All surfers planning on surfing while at Hudhuranfushi between March 1st and November 30th 2018 need to be registered. Please note that any surfer arriving unregistered between March 1st and November 30th 2018 will not be allowed to surf during the course of their stay.

Husband and wife super guides, Richard and Amy Kotch have been managing the surf operation at Hudhuranfushi  for 10 years and are now assisted by 2 local surfer guides.  Both Richard and Amy live to surf and love nothing more than scoring good waves in the Maldives…and it’s this enthusiasm to be in the ocean, combined with seven years experience that ensures you will be at the right place at the right time.

Richard and Amy Kotch co-ordinate the boat trips to the 6 breaks within 30 minutes and ensure you are at the right break to suit your needs at the right time.  This dynamite duo is without a doubt the greatest asset on your surfing holiday. Hudhuranfushi resort accommodation is a mix of Lohis Rooms (within 1 minute walk to surf break); Beach Villas; and romantic Ocean Villas.

10 Lohis Rooms:  This is the ultimate place to stay for keen surfers who want to be as close to the action as possible.  It’s literally a 1 minute walk from room to paddle out.  These rooms are configured with 1 double bed or 2 single beds with TV, Mini Bar, wardrobe, well appointed bathroom and a small relaxation deck.

Beach Villas:  Beach Villas are spacious with timber front deck, polished cement flooring, TV, mini bar, bathtub and outdoor open air shower. They are literally 20 steps under the vegetation canopy to the white sandy beach and lagoon making the Beach Villas an ideal choice for couple or families with non surfers.

Ocean Villas:  These are ideal for honeymooners or that special romantic occasion; however they are only available on a request basis and prices are substantially higher.  All rooms are air conditioned as well as ceiling fans.  Non surfing partners and families love the laid back island paradise feel just as much as the surfers.

The Maldives Islands enjoy a delightful climate, sunny and pleasant for majority of the year. In the course of the drier season the guests may benefit from eight or nine hours of sunlight each day. Sunbathers will find an ideal environment on the beaches of the Maldives.

Although rainfall is not very frequent, scattered showers can be expected during certain times of the year. The islands close to the south of the Equator receive rainfall more predictably. Forceful weather conditions seldom occur in the Maldives and are very short-lived.

All Hudhuranfushi rates are based on Single, Twin, and Triple Occupancy and vary by Season. There are three classes of accommodation available; Lohis Rooms, Beach Villas, and Ocean Villas.
